AfricaConnect is a participatory, transdisciplinary and applied initiative that the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (SSSA) has launched in July 2021 in order to streamline the research and educational activities that different groups have been conducting in Africa for over ten years.

With the AfricaConnect project, SSSA pursues its mission to promote excellence in education and research, coupled with a strong international vocation and proposes itself as an aggregator of cross-cutting and interdisciplinary skills.

Through its consolidated experience in the broader Mediterranean region and in sub-Saharan Africa, SSSA believes it can play an important role in this context as a reference point to connect European universities, governmental and non-governmental actors who are pursuing a systemic action of collaboration and partnership with Africa.
