The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies looks at the future of its commitment in Africa with great determination. A lot of work is already in the pipeline. Over the next few years, thanks to the support of the MAECI and the EU, over 700 officials from various African Countries will have the opportunity to attend the online Master’s course in Electoral Policy and Administration offered by SSSA.

International Relations scholars at the School promoted the publication of the first book series on political and security dynamics in Africa (Afromediterranea, Carocci editions). Two Seasonal Schools were held in 2022 and focused on African social and technological issues: “African Perspectives: Change, Conflicts, Connections” and “Climate resilient, biodiversity-based agriculture for sustainable development”. Lastly, there are numerous project proposals in progress in relation to multiple national and international calls for proposals.

Important national and international players are showing growing interest in sustainable development and climate change, as demonstrated by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Horizon Europe program and countless other initiatives. Through AfricaConnect, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, thanks to the network built up over the past decades, stands ready to become a one-stop center for the collection and use of multidisciplinary knowledge to implement an inclusive approach to the sustainable development of the continent and the world.
