Amerigo Ferrari is a medical doctor and a PhD candidate in Translational Medicine at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. He carries out his research activities at the Management and Health (MeS) Laboratory and also participates in the administrative tasks of the MeS Laboratory, being responsible for calculating indicators of the maternal and child domain within the Performance Evaluation System of Regional Health Services managed by the MeS Laboratory. His major interests are gynecology, obstetrics, pelvic floor pathology, reproductive medicine, and women’s health in general. In conducting his studies, he mainly uses administrative health data but also uses patient-reported data, such as patient-reported outcome measures. He also collaborates with the Institute of Biorobotics of Scuola Sant’Anna to develop and test simulation devices for obstetric training in low-to-middle income countries (Ethiopia).
