Biography

Leonardo Caproni is a plant geneticist at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Leonardo works on quantitative genetics, landscape genomics and crop improvement. His research focuses on the use and valorization of plant genetic resources in the Sub-Saharan Africa. He currently works on projects focusing on crop improvment in Ethiopia, Mozambique and Niger, addressing adaptation of smallholder farmers’ agriculture to climate change.
