Maria Francesca is a Medical Doctor, specialist in Hygiene and Public Health and she is currently a PhD candidate in Management- Innovation, Sustainability and Healthcare at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. Her research focuses on measurement of health systems performance and evaluation of health services delivery, especially in the oncology field. Recently, she has started to collaborate with the NGO Doctors with Africa CUAMM on a project to develop and implement a Performance Evaluation System in four health districts and related referral hospitals supported by CUAMM, respectively, in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda.
